KNG is the latest album from San Antonio’s very own, D’Shaun, and it’s one not to sleep on. The artist continues building his buzz with the album, which gives his fans and new listeners a fresh set of tracks to vibe to. KNG weighs in at 11 tracks, three being skits, featuring OLA (“Murrays”) and King Khali (“Super”). If this album is your first time hearing of the artist, then get ready to be blown away, while this is nothing new to avid listners of D’Shaun. From start to finish the young artist spits what he wants to, almost giving you the feeling that he is here to stay and here to prove what he wants, and that’s making timeless music that anybody can listen to at anytime of the day. The Texas native takes a ride through his own beats along with production provided by MosdefMaro, who isn’t knew when it comes to collaborating with D’Shaun. KNG brings a different sound when compared to his earlier projects (Genesis, Beaming EP) giving you more of a “trap” sound but still adds the lyricism that makes him special. The artist built up an anticipation for the album backed by only releasing one single accompanied by a dope visual with “Weight”. That’s how you know somebody has a type of sauce that can’t be copied, but others want the recipe for. I can sit here and give you my favorite tracks off the album, but I think its better for you to take a listen for yourself and find out that finding that favorite song is tough, because of how compelte KNG feels. So go ahead and ride with D’Shaun and bump the album as loud as you can, because you won’t regret it one bit. Show some love and stream KNG below. Be Known.
