Be Known is happy to bring another dope joint from Alan Ward with his latest single “Bucket”. The laid back track showcases Ward delivering his rhymes with a monotone flow as he let’s his fan base know how he gets buckets, in more then just one way. “Oh you mumble I rumble/yea you basic I’m puzzled/oh you left now she strippin/shii another bag you just fumbled/oh yea I’m trying to stay humble/its easy when you don’t need it” states the artist at the beginning of the first verse as he showcases one way he gets buckets, bagging any female he finds interest in. Ward later adds to the idiom saying “I think I lost my beacon/its time to walk my demons/I’m going off like I’m top dawg and I talk my reason/ain’t having fun/just trying to get to the cup like a one on one/turn books to a few bucks like a one and done“.
Although the title and hook may not be as deep as it seems with Alan Ward describing both saying “bucket comes from an old friend when he used the term bucket instead of shotgun to call front seat. The hook is just about riding shotgun in a whip with some good friends that’s all.” Even with a simpler meaning then what one may think, “Bucket” isn’t short of being a super laid back track even with a smaller run time of two minutes and forty five seconds. Ward re-connects with the up and coming producer named Stoic, who’s had some big placements as of late working with CJ Fly, Mick Jenkins and JID, for the single that is set to have a music video to accompany it. The Milwaukee native says the track will also be apart of a bigger project that he is gearing to release at some point in the near future. Until we get official word of a release date and name, press play on the single that’ll have you hitting nothing but net while you yell out “bucket” after every listen.
