Jerome Whitaker takes listeners on a cruise that is filled with some wavy and sexy vibes on his single “Top Top“. The single comes to our attention after the visual for his interlude “Pistol Primadonna” hit the pages of Be Known, and now we bring the single to your attention.
The track features Dallas native Big Lex, who Whitaker was a fan of before this collaboration, and is produced by Michigan native Dre Butterz. “Top Top” was previously released back in December of 2022, but the release date isn’t stopping the artist from continuing to push the track.
“I wanted this song to represent how it is. Me and Dre are both Detroit, Michigan top R&B artists right now and with him being older and old school and me being young and new school, it represents an old school vs. new school vibe. It’s like we are both Top Top in a battle on who’s really the top. Dre provided the beat and I provided the vocals and sound recordings” says Whitaker when asked about the single.
“Top Top” is set to appear on the artists upcoming EP Impact 2, which he hopes to release in the spring of this year. Until then, keep these dope vibes in rotation until we get more new music from Detroit’s Jerome Whitaker. Be Known.
