After releasing his The Care Package, Soule brings the first visual from the project with “STNR”. The video was shot and directed by the all female video production company Blue Peel Productions, while Soule did the editing himself. The video gives the viewer a glimpse into the artist’s everyday life, from playing basketball to recording or hanging with homies. “We tried to take the things I do on a daily basis, like playing basketball, shmoking, exploring the city, recording, and show them through this colorful, magical lens” says Soule about the creative process with the video. This video is the first of two other videos the artist plans to drop very soon. Watch the visual to “STNR” and press play on The Care Package mixtape.
Showing off Chicago and putting a positive, refreshing image of the city out there was very important to the artist. Making an active effort to include things like the “Empo_er Chicago” sign on I-90 (minute 2.28) and the Ferris wheel at Navy Pier (minute 3.18) are few examples. “It was really important for me to have the graffiti artists captured in the video since we used so much of their art as a backdrop for our story” says Soule. “They make the real world that much colorful”.
