Majorly Independent is the latest album released by Smokey Garvin, an all around artist that we would like to introduce you to. The D.C. native first appeared on our radar through his production, now we come to find out that the artist also get’s behind the mic and delivers some bars of his own.

The album weighs in at 8 tracks with features from recent collaborators Steadee on “Lose It All” and Ayyee Luv on “Major” which also sees Big O BPC on the song as well. Majorly Independent was produced, recorded, mixed & mastered by Smokey Garvin with co-production from Grammy nominated producer RMB Justize, Foley, RohXO & Hydro.

From waking up and making his way to the money on “Find a Way” to splurging on himself when the grind pays off but keeping it real on “Fly Shit Only” or letting his female counter part know what he can provide with the tracks “Like Me” and “With a G”, the project brings something that anyone can enjoy and have on repeat due to the solid production and laid back flows. The album feels like it is an open diary about the life of the artist, as it gives an insight to fans and new listeners about what his day to day is like as an independent artist.

It’s easy to always be in your bag when you bring in most of the profits the way the artist does, and he keeps adding to that bag of talents as he also directs and edits his own visuals. Garvin keeps the momentum going with the release of the self directed video for “Fly Shit Only” alongside the album. With 23 minutes of nothing but laid back vibes, with similarities to Curren$y and Le$, Majorly Independent is a piece of art you can play from sun up to sun down and shouldn’t be overlooked as you scroll through the pages of Be Known. Hit play on both the album and video below and follow Smokey Garvin on all social media platforms. Be Known.
