It feels like we haven’t heard a full length project from the mysterious artist, XV, in quite some time. It feels like that dates back all the way to his 2012 mixtape Popular Culture which we still bump to this day. Years later, and now that summer has finally bloomed upon us, the Wichita Squarian drops his album The Dude with the Strap Back Dad Hat. Weighing in at 10 solid tracks, XV makes his presence felt once again within the industry, and this time we are hoping it is for good. Standout tracks include “Loyal”, “Every Time You Go”, “Yes Man” and the intro to the album “I.K.E.A.”. It is definitely nice to have the Kansas product back spitting them lyrical bombs just like it is 2012 again, but now he is spitting those same lyrical bombs with a strap back dad hat on.
