After his successful release of his last album Growing Pains, Qwest delivers his first project of 2023 with the EP WYB?. The San Antonio native gives his listeners four fresh tracks for their listening pleasure.
The EP begins with the track “FR!” as the artist is able to grab your attention right off the bat with it’s catchy hook & beat acting as it’s backbone. Qwest hits a single with the opener & quickly get’s to second with the assist from LaRon Bryson on “20k Hours”. Continuing the momentum that was previously established, Qwest spits “To my amazement/all the dreams that I’ve been chasin/I’m obtainin powered up just like a saiyan/I’ve been laying low”.
He finds himself on third base with the demo titled “Disconnected” that keeps the trend of smooth production moving onward & the artist getting even deeper within his feelings. Qwest says “The EP dives into some of my personal problems and thoughts that came with making music” & the third track backs his statement thoroughly. At last looking to make it home, the fourth & final record serves as his own mirror, a reflection of himself & who the 25 year old has become. Chasing his dream & hoping to never look back, leaving each mirror in the past. In the end and doing so with ease, Qwest makes it home safe & scores with another great piece of art that is WYB?.
