Bay Area artist, Casey Cope, returns to the pages of Be Known with the official single and video to “Back Up”. The track is produced by Casey himself along with Big Soda, bringing you somewhat of a dark melody mixed with some bouncy drums and high hats which then provides the canvas for Casey to share some rhymes over. The visual really brings the single to life, showing the artist and his friends having some fun, flexing in front of a normal car and just living life even if they aren’t rich and driving lambo’s. If you sit back and really listen, you’d understand the meaning behind “Back Up” which isn’t just your normal “turn up” song that appears on the daily within the music industry. The artist says “I wanted it to feel like if you didn’t speak English you’d think I was flexing the whole time. But really when you listen it’s about having a very average car, life being mundane, and needing personal space. I really like the juxtaposition.”
