The HipHop scene down in the DMV has been producing some really dope content as of late, and it’s safe to say that Steadee, Ayyee Luv and Smokey Garvin are all apart of that wave. All three artists connect on the new single “Back 2 Back” as they first delivered the track to fans through audio form and now with the official music video.
“Back 2 Back” features verses from Steadee & Luv as they go back and forth with their respective verses, matching one another’s energy throughout the two and a half minute track. Secondhand Cinematics (Smokey Garvin) is back behind the camera and keyboard as he is credited with chopping and bagging up the video just as he did for Steadee’s “Grind Hard” visual. Ayyee Luv had the opportunity of being able to open up for Curren$y during his show in D.C. at The Howard Theatre, thus paving the way for the official video to “Back 2 Back“. Secondhand Cinematics captures footage from before, during and after the show as he also had the chance to hop on stage to perform alongside Ayyee Luv for their collab “Can’t Stay“.
“Catching plays/getting paid doing numbers for days/stacking bread stay out the way” raps Steadee as he gives an inside look to how the summer has been going for this group of artists who really have been putting in work these past few months. From releasing singles to projects to videos and opening up for major acts like Curren$y, all three creatives have had a productive year to date but they aren’t done yet.
